Provide a new original logo design and be featured on club jerseys and schwag for years to come!

We're excited to invite our membership to participate in this contest intended to honor the club’s history while developing a modern, inclusive, community-focused logo that builds pride, improves regional recognition, and supports WKFC’s future use across uniforms, merchandise, sponsorship, print, and digital channels. 

• Eligible entrants: registered WKFC members from the 2026 year (Spring, Fall or Development registration).  NOTE: Board Directors are not eligible.

• Entry limit: one submission per registered member.

• Finalists: the Board will select three to five eligible concepts for a member preference vote.

• Final decision: the member vote informs the selection; the WKFC Board retains final approval and may require refinement before adoption.

• Prizes:

    - 1st/Chosen Logo: A personalized jersey with new logo.

    -  2nd:  A jersey with new logo (1 year before others will get it!)

• Submission period: October 30th to November 13th

Entrants are encouraged to create a logo that is simple, distinctive, welcoming, and adaptable. The design should feel appropriate for a youth soccer association serving multiple West Kootenay communities and should support a shared club identity rather than representing only one team, age group, or community.

• Reflects soccer, movement, teamwork, or regional identity in a meaningful but not overly complex way.

• Feels inclusive and appropriate for children, youth, families, coaches, volunteers, sponsors, and community partners.

• Is professional, memorable, and capable of building long-term club pride.

• Works with the name “West Kootenay Football Club,” the initials “WKFC,” or both.

• Can be refined into a complete visual identity without losing the concept’s central idea.

Can the logo be hand drawn/colored?

- Absolutely!  We want original designs from our members.  Hand drawn concepts may be submitted as a scan or well lit photograph.  A hand drawn concept shortlisted will be supported with professional or technical refinements.

Can I use AI tools?

- We are not opposed, however, we are looking for original works and must be able to be granted full rights.

- If generative artificial intelligence or automated design tools were used at any stage, the entrant must identify the tool and describe how it was used. WKFC may reject an entry if ownership, originality, or the ability to grant rights is uncertain.
