Development Team Program

Our Development Team Program aims to provide a greater depth of training than our Recreational or House Program can offer, giving players who are keen to play more soccer at a higher level the opportunity to do so. 

GUIDING PRINCIPLES: 

• To allow players to develop skills at a higher level, and to experience personal growth both mentally and physically. 
• To encourage players to be mentors and examples to other players in our club 
• To develop coaches by ensuring they can attend workshops and Clinics. 
• To improve the overall level of soccer in the community by supporting and developing players and coaches for future years. 
• To promote good sportsmanship and always emphasize fair play 

The teams may travel beyond the Slocan Valley to play teams from other clubs across the province and potentially beyond. They do also play games 'at home' at the competition or 'rep' level. 

In keeping with our guiding principals, anyone who wishes to join a Development Team and is ready to commit to the requirements of this program, can join in the right age group during the registration period.

As a greater level of commitment is required, including participation in all Recreational Programs, the cost for the program includes the season fees for all club programs - meaning one registration is all that is needed for an entire year! Rates for 2026/2027 will be released prior to the annual registration window, each window runs from September to June with a break over the summer. Financial Aid options are also available. 

Practice times range by age group but typically fall within the 1.5 to 2.5 hour range, with training camps and attendance in the Revelstoke Little Bear Tournament each September included. Friendlies occur as they are arranged with other teams. 

Practice times and days generally stay the same, but can be subject to change depending on the time of year and upcoming events.
