Our Travel Team Program aims to provide a greater depth of training than our Primary - or House - Program can offer, giving players who are keen to play more football at a higher level the opportunity to do so.
Travel Teams, as the name suggests, travel beyond the Slocan Valley to play teams from other clubs across the province and potentially beyond. They do also play games 'at home' at the competition or 'rep' level.
In keeping with our guiding principals, anyone who wishes to join a Travel Team and is ready to commit to the requirements of this program, can join in the right age group.
As a greater level of commitment is required, including participation in all Recreational Programs, the cost for the program includes the season fees for all club programs - meaning one registration is all that is needed for an entire year! This cost can be done on a payment plan of only $53 per month, for a total of $530.
Included in that is a full Adidas kit, which each team chooses the colour of, with players having the ability to choose their player number - so long as it isn't already taken - and have their name on their jersey.
Practice times range by age group but typically fall within the 2 hours to 2.5 hour range, with training camps and attendance in the Revelstoke Little Bear Tournament each September included. Friendlies occur as they are arranged with other teams.
Each new team spends a few months training before playing their first friendlies.
Practice times and days generally stay the same, but can be subject to change depending on the time of year and upcoming events.
